Hot Wheels TechMods is the latest innovation from Mattel. What’s we’re seeing is the Hot Wheels TechMods Accelo GT in action. It comes unassembled so you first build your vehicle.
It uses Tank Steering so you can perform cool tricks. Download the companion app, choose an avatar, create him … it’s really fun and immersive.
It uses Bluetooth technology so you don’t have to worry much about the range as with RCs.
RC Drive – Free Drive – Drive however you choose.
Treasure Hunt – Hunt for virtual treasures. When you find them, it has you perform a trick to dig up your treasure. So you play a little mini-game inside the game. You collect virtual points when you collect the treasures.
The TechMods RC has variable speeds – slow, normal, and fast. You can perform 360-spins and turns. It reaches speeds up to 8-9 MPH on smooth surfaces. Lot of fun to drive!
On top of that, you can also play video games.
In Car As A Controller Mode, your physical movement of the car is translated into the digital world thanks to its built-in accelerometer that communicates via Bluetooth. You can steer wherever you need to go to get your points. At any time, you can turn the physical car any way you want.
You can also go through and get points in your virtual game and then go to your garage and improve the performance of your car – virtually, of course.
As the levels get progressively more challenging, you have to increase your boost, power, and shield.
