BoomTrix, a Toy Buzz Award Winner at Toy Fair 2019, from Goliath Games is a small-scale trampoline-based obstacle course featuring small trampolines that can be placed flat on a surface or they can have an angle attachment added, which gives them a nice angle for different trajectories when the balls bounce off of them.

Sets include not only the trampolines, but also there are obstacles for the ball to bounce over or through, goals with spring-loaded payoffs that come out when the ball enters, as well as some larger components that allow you to start the obstacle course and continue it.

So it creates this really interesting combination of a domino style play, where you setup a course and you let it go and watch it unfold. But also it teaches you a little about physics – demonstrating different aspects of momentum, trajectory, and acceleration – in a fun way.

In the live demo, we have a BoomTrix Starter and the BoomTrix Multiball set featured. When you hit the button, all the balls roll down the Starter and fill up the bucket. And that bucket is going to weight down, releasing another ball with the hope that it travels all the way down the course into the end goal.

That’s part of the fun of this too – the fact that sometimes you have to do a lot of tweaking and adjusting in order to get it just right, which gives it more of an activity feel. Nobody is giving you precise instructions on how to do it here. It’s more fun when you can do free-form.

If you reach the end of the goal, there’s a little payoff surprise. It’s a very fun activity and STEM toy.

BoomTrix has been out in Europe for the past year. It was the Toy of the Year in France last year, and it will be hitting U.S. markets this Fall 2019.

There are a variety of different size packs to choose from ranging from $14.99 to $49.99. A: You can do whatever you want. A single person could set this up and let it rip or two people could set them up as a race. You could do something like have a goal with both courses leading to that goal and whoever gets there first wins. The possibilities are near endless.

A: Absolutely! You could combine a bunch of these sets together and setup some insane courses. You can do pretty much anything you want.
Best of all? There’s no age limit. Kids and even adults can enjoy BoomTrix.
There are no real rules except for the fact that gravity exists.
